Now when you are not connected to your phone and more specifically to Garmin Connect, when you finish the exercise data and all the statistics will be saved to the device's cache. When you connect to your phone, there is an option in the app to sync your saved exercises.

Remember that there are only 10 slots for unsynced exercises.
